Dyson wins his third KLM Open

Perhaps Simon Dyson?s nickname should be ?Dutch? because he seems to love the Netherlands.

With a final round of 4-under 66, Dyson won the KLM Open for the third time. He took it by a shot over fellow Englishman David Lynn and by a deuce over Rory McIlroy.

Despite being his third in the tournament in the last six years, the win is unique for Dyson. His prior two wins were at?Kennemer G&CC, not?Hilversumsche GC, which has hosted the last two KLM Opens. It?s also the first time Dyson has won the event in regulation. He needed sudden death playoffs to win both of his other titles in Holland.

The win also creates an odd trend among Dyson?s now six career wins. In 2006, 2009 and now 2011, Dyson won twice in the season. At the end of July, Dyson won the Irish Open.
